Most products are hand-sewn by artisans in the United States, resulting in higher labor costs.

Is DCF fabric durable? Is it prone to tearing easily?
DCF fabric boasts exceptionally high tear strength, making it resistant to being snagged or torn by tree branches.
Compared to heavy-duty nylon or polyester, however, DCF is more prone to abrasion or pinholes under prolonged friction (such as the bottom of a backpack rubbing against rock).
Does “ultra-lightweight” mean sacrificing comfort?
Suspension system differences: Zpacks backpacks typically feature minimalist frame designs (such as carbon stays or foam pads) that do not transfer weight to the hips as effectively as the suspension systems found in traditional heavy-duty packs.
Suitable for hikers keeping their total load within 9–10 kg; carrying excessive weight may result in significant shoulder strain.
Users need to learn efficient packing techniques to properly balance the center of gravity.
Is tent condensation a serious problem?
Many Zpacks tents (such as the Duplex and Plexamid) feature a single-wall design; while they offer better breathability than standard single-wall tents, condensation can still occur in cold, damp conditions.
Keep vents open to promote airflow.
Use the mesh pockets to store wet clothing, preventing direct contact with the tent walls.
Wipe down the interior walls with an absorbent cloth in the morning.
How to Clean and Maintain DCF Gear
DCF material is not machine-washable or dry-cleanable.
Gently hand-wash using warm water and a mild soap (such as Nikwax Tech Wash); do not scrub vigorously.
Air-dry naturally and avoid direct sunlight to prevent the material from aging or becoming brittle.
Minor damage can be temporarily repaired using specialized DCF repair tape (such as Tenacious Tape).
